Grothus Dragbikes is at it again! Another quality Grothus Dragbikes chassis has found a new home overseas. The rolling chassis of the 2013 Manufacturers Cup national championship bike will now reside in the country known for being the birthplace of the Olympic Games, Greece.
In mid December 2013, Filippos Papafilippou of the Racetech by Tzanidakis Dragteam, approached Grothus Dragbikes about purchasing another roller for their ever expanding race team. Filippos, "Fast Fil", is part of a 4 bike team that races in circuits all the way from Northern Europe & the UK to Southeastern Europe & Greece. Fil has proven knowledge on nitrous PXM bikes and plans to use this chassis as an integral part of his very technologically advanced, new era, pro-extreme motorcycle.
The timing of this proposition and eventual purchase worked out perfectly as Grothus Dragbikes was ready to sell the championship winning chassis, which bested a 4.08 at its last race, to build a couple new 2014 Grothus Dragbikes Pro Extreme Motorcycles to compete with for the upcoming 2014 season. Ed Grothus, owner and fabricator for Grothus Dragbikes, was enthusiastic when commenting on the transaction and business relationship formed from this deal, "We are very excited to see what he and the team will be able to do with the top of the line chassis they now have. Doing business with 'Fast Fil' was a pleasure and we hope to do more business with his team in the future."
And just like that, the Music-City Raceway track record holding bike was stripped of it's motor & on-board computer and loaded into a crate to be part of new adventures in new lands. Grothus Dragbikes would like to wish gang from Greece the best of luck and hope that they continue with the mission that the 2013 ManCup national championship bike started, "Work until your idols become your rivals."
